Born in Vancouver and in business for over 40 years, The Bridal Gallery in New Westminster offers some of the world’s best wedding dress and prom dress lines.
Our service is attentive, personalized and unpretentious. Our people are passionate about finding you the perfect wedding dress and delivering an experience like no other.
The History
The company founders purchased their first store, Debonair Formalwear, in their early 20s while still dating.
The quaint shop specialized in rentals of special-occasion dresses for women and tuxedos for men. With little knowledge of the formalwear industry and no formal training, they learned the business organically, gaining hands-on experience along the way. Through this journey, both discovered a deep passion for the industry—one that would grow far beyond their original expectations. In 1985, young, ambitious, and full of energy, they relocated and opened their first Bridal Gallery.
The goal was to showcase world renowned wedding dress lines in a designer showroom environment, while providing a fun, personable shopping experience for all.
Today, the store occupies 16,000 square feet on 3 levels and is Canada’s largest wedding dress store. The Bridal Gallery proudly remains family-owned and operated, having stayed within the family and now second-generation run, continuing the founders’ legacy with the same dedication, values, and love for bridal fashion.

The process of finding a wedding gown is a journey. With many feelings, dreams, and ideas all centered around love.
Brides come from all walks of life, backgrounds, and cultures, but all have the same goal... to walk down the aisle on their wedding day feeling confident, beautiful, and surrounded by those who love them.
